Object design dating back to ancient times are the purest in its form of
culture and ideology, expressing its traditions and origins from the
culture of its creators. These artifacts often takes up the environment
around them, mimicking nature. An example of this is ornaments dating
back to the 18th century where ornaments ,furniture and jewellery are
expressed and made with a more elegant nature, showing the height of its
glory in that era. This suggests a form of complex simplicity. Then came
the arrival of the Industrial Revolution, changing where man looked more
in the direction of science, which affected products as they are mass
produced to suit its basic purpose, rather than to promote culture and
art. due to the Industrialization's destructive nature to the arts more
and more people appreciated ancient artifacts. In movies the artifacts
are often mimicked by reconstruction of substitude materials, to
recreate its glory. However this can only be done to a certain extent as
of course, it would never achieve the standard of the original. coming
in to the modern era, people realized the only way to achieve the height
of art and glory is to mimic the ancients. But at the same time with
new ideals and styles of art coming into the picture,m people often only
look at the present and its representation of the future in modern art,
which has a representation of simple complexity, hiding its new ideals
in the simplest form of art expressions. However the truth that this
cannot escape is that with its complexity comes with the bedrock of
simple ancient ideologies, just expressed in a different way, therefore
uncanny resemblance would be found by the wary. I would often like to
think that evolving times, passing eras and even trends are the vicious
cycle and the repetition of old styles and ideologies, sometimes just
put into a slightly different context.some modern artists would bring
classic art and modern art, marry the two together and make a piece of
art with it. creating contrast but at the same time showing some kind of
resemblance. For those who wish to achieve reverence, would inevitable
find themselves looking back to the ancients.
