Picture
I was drawn into taking this picture due to my love for neo-classical archietecture. As the world prepares to welcome the new era of infrastructure people often forget the lasting grandeur of these monuments. In singapore many of these works of art are demolished to make way for archietecture of the new era. While some remain, an excellent example is the Fullerton. Its stone columns are signs of a great society suggesting a lasting quality and a great era. The use of stone in monuments like this requires the work of skilled stone masons, and lets not forget a brilliant architect. Though modern buildings have flares of their own, neo-classical strucures retain its ancient beauty. Away with tall and flimsy looking infrastructure of the new age. Let us gaze our eyes once more towards these works of art, which are silhouettes of great cities like Vienna, London, Berlin and paris.
